Who gets to keep the context?
Notes, questions, and the paths between them accumulate into a personal body of knowledge. Student-owned infrastructure starts by keeping that accumulation under the learner’s control.
Sato makes this a design constraint. Local systems, notebook integration, and decentralized infrastructure are possible ways to honor it. Ownership also needs to be felt in the interface: a person should be able to understand and shape how the system works.
